Anniversary

How many years will it take?

It is twenty two years and counting

so far…

The day usually begins with

an awakening of remembrance 

and proceeds with memories 

nostalgic memories 

bringing both

smiles and tears.

As the day goes on

the present 

takes over, and the past 

fades

until a glance at the clock

brings a moment back.

The clearest of memories 

appears 

and a moment of that last day

is lived once again

with all of the same

live and pain.

How many years could it take?

All the years until all years blend into

eternity.
